At Ohibiscus, we celebrate the vibrant flavours and rich traditions of hibiscus beverages.
Our journey began with a simple love for crafting delicious drinks that bring people together. What started as a cherished tradition of serving hibiscus drinks at community events grew (2016) into a passion that led us to launch OHibiscus in July 2024.
After countless requests for our signature drink at weddings and gatherings, we knew it was time to share our love for hibiscus with a wider audience.
We pride ourselves on using authentic ingredients, with hibiscus leaves sourced from and ginger from West Africa, complemented by locally sourced spices.
This commitment ensures that every drink not only delivers exceptional flavour but also reflects our dedication to quality and sustainability.
At Ohibiscus, sustainability is fundamental to our mission.
We use reusable and recyclable glass bottles, and partner with local services for composting brown waste, ensuring that our spent hibiscus leaves enrich the earth. The pulp from our ginger and spices is creatively repurposed into non commercial recipes like chili sauce and baked goods, minimizing waste and enhancing flavours.
We prioritize sustainable sourcing and eco-friendly packaging, with initiatives like "Too Good to Go" campaign to reduce food waste and celebrate the value of our ingredients.
Looking ahead, we plan to introduce a bottle return program and explore innovative ways to creatively reuse our bottles.
Additionally, we provide educational resources on sustainable practices and arts and crafts ideas, empowering our community to join us in making a positive impact on our planet while enjoying our delicious drinks.
